Fans were skeptical since she is hard at work getting ready for her Cry Pretty 360 tour, which kicks off on May 1st. But not only did she sing “Love Wins,” she also teamed up with several female singers for an extremely powerful performance.

Mickey Guyton, Maddie & Tae, Lauren Alaina, and actress Chrissy Metz formed the girl group we never knew we needed to sing a song from the upcoming movie Breakthrough. Metz, who you likely know from the show This Is Us, stars in the film as the mother of a teenage boy who is fighting for his life after falling through ice and being under water for over 15 minutes.

Guyton, Maddie & Tae, Alaina, and Underwood all contribute to the movie’s soundtrack. Metz also performs a song for the movie, titled “I’m Standing With You,” which is what the women sang at the ACM Awards.

Metz started off the performance solo, which just so happened to be her live television singing debut, and was joined by Guyton and Alaina, followed by Maddie and Tae, and finally, Underwood. They all wore blue dresses, and looked gorgeous.

Towards the end of the song, when all the women were singing together, Metz got emotional and choked up during a solo.

It was such a powerful moment – we don’t blame her.  If this doesn’t move you, we’re not sure what will. This is something people will be talking about for a long time.
