It looks like three massive hats with legs just walk right out onto the floor!
Taking the the floor of a junior high school gymnasium, young Ashlin and two of her friends devised what can only be described as the perfect routine to help her little brother out during a school assembly!
Ashlin’s younger brother, Walker, happened to running for part of the associated student body, or the student council, and convinced her to help him win the race with a bit of humor and great entertainment. Needless to say, she did not disappoint!
Walker, who clearly made the right choice to entertain his fellow classmates, opened the performance with a short speech that truly sealed the moment in history.
“Now we all know that actions speak louder than words, so I have brought a special guest to help me get my point across. Please welcome – all the way from Utah, The Elvira Three!”
Kickin’ up their boots to the tune of The Oak Ridge Boys’ classic hit, “Elvira”, the group strutted their fancy hats and quick footwork out onto the gym floor and welcomed the roaring laughter from the crowd!
The hit, originally written by Dallas Frazier in 1966, became a worldwide country music sensation when classic country group The Oak Ridge Boys debuted it as a 1981 single from their album, Fancy Free. The song became so incredibly popular – charting at No. 1 on three separate North American charts – that it was certified platinum by the RIAA. For many years, the single shared that coveted certification with only one other track, “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.
The Elvira Three, as the group is calling themselves, were regular-sized ladies but dressed up in such a fashion that they looked like were super tiny cowboys shoved into massive cowboy hats! In reality, the paper hats were designed to hide most of the body of the person and their legs were dressed up to look like a much shorter cowboy – you can tell by the eye cut-outs toward the top of each hat! They even stuffed the pants so they could shake their booty in the most hilarious way!
Watching these three comical and clever geniuses kick their boots up on the gym floor is one of the funniest and cutest things y’all will see today!
