Toby Keith’s Family Shares Funeral Details, Reveals Best Way For Fans To Pay Tribute
Toby Keith’s family wants his fans to know the best way to honor him after his passing.
Keith died on February 5 after a years-long battle with stomach cancer. Following his death, fans and Keith’s fellow artists honored him with performances and tribute posts on social media.
Of course, the most emotional tributes came from members of Toby’s family. He and his wife, Tricia Covel, were married for nearly 40 years. They share three children and four grandchildren.
Keith’s family shared his funeral details in a post on his official social media pages. In mid-February, the family will have a private funeral for family, band members, and crew members only.
The family said details concerning a memorial service will be announced on Keith’s social media pages “shortly.”

Here’s How You Can Honor Toby Keith
Additionally, Toby Keith’s family shared how fans can honor him after his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family says fans can make donations to The Toby Keith Foundation in Keith’s memory.
The Toby Keith Foundation was established in 2006. He served as the organization’s President, while his wife, Tricia, serves as the Vice President.
The foundation supports the OK Kids Korral, which opened in 2014. The OK Kids Korral is a cost-free place for pediatric cancer patients and their families to stay while the child is undergoing cancer treatments. The Korral is located in Keith’s home state of Oklahoma.
The Korral now hosts hundreds of families each year.
Last year (2023) Keith’s golf classic fundraiser raised a record-breaking amount of money for The Toby Keith Foundation. $1.8 million, to be precise.
