The soft guitar playing alongside her sparkling voice was enough to bring Blake Shelton close to tears as he watched one of his proteges wow America with this unforgettable song.

Lauren Duski is one of the foremost contenders on this season of NBC’s hit singing competition, The Voice, and nobody knows that more than her coach. Making it all the way into the live rounds with Shelton coaching her all along the way, Duski delivered one of the best performances you’re likely to see this year.

The most recent episode featured country superstar and newly-appointed ‘Voice’ advisor, Shania Twain, who doted on Duski, saying that her song choice was “perfect” and noted her “true and honest spirit” that was present throughout her practice sessions.

The song, “Lord, I Hope This Day is Good” is a timelessly spiritual track that has been recorded and released by multiple artists over the years – most notably, by Lee Ann Womack on her album I Hope You Dance.

Throughout this performance, you can feel the singer’s emotion and purity wash over the crowd in each verse that she belts out. While many people have been stunned and impressed with Duski’s performance this season, will it be enough to keep her from going home?
