Country singer RaeLynn made her claim to fame on Season 2 of The Voice when she joined the ranks of Team Blake Shelton, making it all the way to the quarterfinals following a series of show-stopping performances. Since then, the 23-year-old singer has released a string of country hits in addition to accompanying the country superstar on his 2017 Doing It to Country Songs Tour.
After spending three months with Shelton on his 13-stop tour, naturally, RaeLynn got to know not only her Voice mentor more but his girlfriend as well, international popstar Gwen Stefani. So what’s it really like hanging out with two of the biggest names in music?
Meeting the country music superstar at such a young age when she auditioned for the singing competition back in 2012, RaeLynn describes her relationship with Shelton as being similar to an “older brother/dad.” And as for his superstar girlfriend? She couldn’t love her more!
“Gwen’s awesome. She’s such a sweetheart and the life of the party,” RaeLynn told Hollywood Life. “It’s been an honor to get to hang out with her and to spend time with someone that is so iconic in music in general. I always forget who I’m hanging out with because she’s so down to earth and sweet. They’re so cute.”
RaeLynn is currently nominated for CMT’s “Breakthrough Video of the Year” for the powerful music video for her song “Love Triangle,” a heart-wrenching song about growing up in a broken home.
