In the span of just a few months, Jake Hoot went from singing songs to his daughter in the bathroom to becoming the winner of Season 17 of The Voice

Before Hoot blew Kelly Clarkson away with his blind audition performance of Luke Combs‘ “When It Rains It Pours,” he was sharing cover videos on social media to try and make a name for himself. Those cover videos were often filmed in the bathroom while his daughter, Macy, took a bath.

Hoot dubbed the videos “Bath Tunes,” and shared many of them with his followers. In his last “Bath Tunes” video before his season of The Voice aired, Hoot placed his own spin on Blake Shelton‘s #1 hit, “God’s Country.”

That video was posted on July 10, 2019. Hoot temporarily stopped sharing “Bath Tunes” as he moved through The Voice and eventually went on to win the show.

With a whole new batch of fans supporting him after his big win, Hoot thought it was the perfect time to resume his “Bath Tunes” covers. As always, the video shows him singing while Macy splashes around in the bath beside him off-camera.

Hoot shared the video on Christmas, and sang “Silent Night” in honor of the holiday.

We wish all yall a safe and happy holiday season! Merry Christmas!” Hoot wrote alongside the video.
