You all know him for his work on Star Trek and an endless number of movies, Priceline commercials, and other acting endeavors – but many also know him as a beloved country singer.

While he’s known for singing country, it seems he might be singing the blues real soon. His fourth marriage has come to an end as William Shatner officially filed for divorce in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019.

The court documents, obtained by The Blast, show that Shatner filed for divorce from his wife, Elizabeth Shatner, and they state that the two officially separated on February 1st, 2019 – just a few days before their 18th wedding anniversary.

Within the petition, Shatner cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split and there will be no room for negotiation of a settlement because the pair had signed a prenuptial agreement. Previously, Shatner has been married three times.

Shatner’s 3rd wife, Nerine Kidd, tragically died in a drowning accident after diving head-first into their pool in 1999 at their Studio City, California home. Reportedly, he met Elizabeth in the years after and bonded with her after connecting over the loss of their partners.

In 2014, William and Elizabeth Shatner invited HGTV and DIY Network into their home as they filmed a show called The Shatner Project where the two worked to remodel, rehab, and rebuild their California home.
