Celebrities, athletes, and musicians alike will be flooding Los Angeles for one of the most fun awards shows of the year. Actor and comedian Joel McHale will host this year’s People’s Choice Awards, which will take place at The Forum in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 18 at 9PM EST on CBS. The People’s Choice Awards are unique because the awards are completely fan voted!
It was announced recently that Blake Shelton would be performing at the star-studded event and of course, the first question we asked ourselves was if he would be going with his girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
The answer, folks, is yes! But what’s more juicy is who they will be sitting next to. During the show, the camera always pans to the audience to see their reactions, and usually celebrities are grouped together by genre. They are sitting next to a couple who has stolen millions of hearts around the world with just how cute they are together – former CMT Awards show host Kristen Bell and her funnyman husband Dax Shepard.
Bell is nominated for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress for her roles in the films Bad Moms and The Boss, and Favorite Actress in a New TV Series for her show The Good Place.
“#RelationshipGoals AND #SquadGoals,” People’s Choice tweeted of the seating arrangement, and we’d have to agree! We’re looking forward to some crazy stories and even better selfies from the event!
While Stefani is not personally nominated this year, she will play the role of supportive partner, like Shelton has done for her in the past. He is nominated in three categories, with two being all-genre categories. The Voice is also nominated for Favorite Competition Show.
No matter if he comes out a big winner tonight or not, but we think he will, Shelton will still have a reason to celebrate. His most recent single, “A Guy With A Girl” just became a No. 1 song, as of Tuesday (Jan. 17), which makes it his 23rd No. 1 single, 17 of which were consecutive. Good luck, Blake! We will be rooting for you!
