Fans are still waiting for Yellowstone season four’s fall premiere, but one of the show’s fan-favorite actors just dropped a major spoiler about the show’s future.

The hit show has not been officially renewed for a fifth season; however, according to actor Cole Hauser, plans to continue the series are already in the works. During an interview on HALL Wines YouTube Channel, Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler, admitted that the show’s creator had already begun piecing together a season five script.

“Taylor’s working on it right now and I think we will be back sometime in July,” Hauser revealed. “I’m looking forward to getting back to Montana…I mean Season 5 is going to be wonderful.”

At the time of the interview, Hauser predicted that the cast could start shooting for season five in July 2021. The actor also prophesied that fans would be pleased with the storyline for the upcoming season four. The show recently dropped the first teaser for the new season and promised fans that “revenge is worth the wait.”

While the show still has some story left to tell, the series creator, Taylor Sheridan, told Deadline that he already knows how the show will end. He also alluded to the fact the show may end in season six. Sheridan explained:

“Can that be another two seasons beyond this? It could. I don’t see this as a procedural show. So, it’s not something that we could extend indefinitely. I don’t think anyone would want to do that; you’d cheapen the product. I haven’t had that conversation with the network or the studio yet. I’m sure it’s coming, but I would think that you would want this to end on an upswing as opposed to a plateau or a descent.”
