The 52nd Annual ACM Awards brought country’s biggest stars to Las Vegas on Sunday (April 2). As most fans know, the country music community is a very tight knit group of people who spend a lot of time together. It is extremely common for them to pull a prank or two on each other and we especially love when we can enjoy the outcome!
Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton were on the long list of performers at the star-studded awards show, and while backstage, Rhett left his phone unattended for a few minutes, so Stapleton took advantage of it!
Stapleton was so sneaky, in fact, that Rhett didn’t even find out about his little prank until days later. You could say that Stapleton was as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey…
“I leave my phone in the dressing room for 30 minutes and I have [Chris Stapleton] selfies that I just found that they took at the ACM’s…love ya man,” he captioned the selfie of Stapleton and his wife, Morgane.
