Miranda Lambert, should keep an eye out for this talented teen!

Cloey Schultheis, a 17-year-old student wowed a huge crowd at the Future Farmers of America Iowa State Convention with her cover of Lambert’s huge hit, “Tin Man.” The song won Lambert Song of the Year at the ACM Awards in 2018.

The haunting song is relatable to anyone who has ever felt a broken heart, but for Miranda – the song truly struck a chord.

Written shortly after her divorce from Blake Shelton, she sings to the heartless Wizard of Oz character telling him, “You don’t know how lucky you are/ You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’/ For something bound to fall apart.”

While the teen might not have felt that sort of heartbreak just yet, she is able to deliver the song with intense emotion as she pours her heart and soul into the lyrics.

The aspiring kindergarten teacher uses her musical talents to sing lead vocals in two bands, Double Barrel Duo and Juliana and A Soul Purpose. And while this was only the second time Cloey had performed by herself – we think she did amazing!

So sit back and listen to “Tin Man” as performed by this Iowa teen – just be sure to get a few tissues ready first.
