Meet Brandon Sklenar, The Actor Who Plays Spencer Dutton In 1923
There was a lot for Yellowstone fans to get excited about when the cast for its prequel, 1923, was announced. Both Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are starring in the series…talk about some HUGE names.
But one of the cast’s lesser-known actors quickly became a standout star of the show. We’re talking about Brandon Sklenar, who plays Spencer Dutton.

Not much is known about Sklenar’s background prior to his role on 1923. A few facts we do know is that he was born in New Jersey and started acting in 2011.
He went on to star in films such as Temple, Mapplethore, and Midway. He’s also appeared on television in series such as Truth Be Told, New Girl, and Westworld.
In 2022, Sklenar earned the Best Actor award at the Vienna Independent Film Festival for his role in the movie Futra Days. He starred as the independent film’s main character, Sean Graves.
Sklenar made his first public Instagram post in September 2022. He has a small number of posts on his page by now. All of them either pertain to his role in 1923 or come from news stories/magazine articles about him.

Brandon Sklenar Lands Role In Upcoming Film Based On Novel It Ends With Us
Most recently, Sklenar shared a post on his Instagram Story announcing he’s been cast in a major new movie.
The post Sklenar shared came from director Justin Baldoni. It features the announcement that Sklenar has been cast as the character Atlas Corrigan in the upcoming movie adaptation of the 2016 Colleen Hoover novel It Ends with Us.

Sklenar has been cast alongside actress Blake Lively, who will play the film’s lead character Lily Bloom.
