As a fan, you can say that every award given out at the CMT Music Awards is a big deal. Why? Because these awards aren’t voted by peers, or labels, or anything like that. They are voted by the fans – which is the reason why it means so much to all the artists.
The show is off to a great start with Little Big Town hosting, and after several mind-blowing performances, it was finally time to give out the award for Duo Video of the Year.

The Duo Video of the Year winner was announced and it was none other than “Tequila” by Dan + Shay!
The country duo released “Tequila” as a single on January 10, 2018 and the music video followed on February 28. Since then, it has accumulated over 21 million views!
The emotional video stars deaf actor/model Nyle DiMarco and Mica Von Turkovich as a couple who meet in the snowy mountains. Throughout the video, DiMarco’s character teaches Turkovich sign language, including the sign for “tequila.”
