4-Hour Preview Of Chip & Joanna’s New Shows To Air This Weekend

In November 2018, Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that they would be returning to television…with their very own network.

Titled Magnolia Network, it was announced that it would be taking over the DIY Network on October 4, 2020 and will feature brand-new shows, as well as reruns of the couple’s claim to fame – Fixer Upper.

When Chip and Joanna’s hit HGTV show Fixer Upper came to an end in April 2018, fans were worried they would never be able to see their favorite couple on television again. Little did we know, they already had something cooking for us!

In October 2019, the first Magnolia Network show was announced. Home on the Road will follow the band Johnnyswim, a duo comprised of husband and wife Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano Ramirez, as they navigate touring North America with two kids in tow.

I remember Amanda and I dreaming over a decade ago about one day having our own tv show. We dreamt of a show where we’d combine travel and music and food and family. Since then, there have been doors we’ve knocked on that stayed closed and doors that opened just long enough for us to get our hopes up only to watch them close up again. That’s how life is tho ain’t it? You get “No” a thousand times more than you ever hear “yes”. Sometimes you’re just stubborn enough to stick around and get the latter. Or even more stubborn and just decide to build your own house and put the doors where you want them. In lieu of this analogy falling apart completely I’ll say this. Stay stubborn. Stay grateful. Stay hopeful. Just keep showing up and try to outlast the challenge. We’re so grateful to @chipgaines & @joannagaines for giving me and @amandasudanoramirez a shot. And to @iamjking for never doubting and always propelling us forward. Here’s to the new challenges! 🥂 Hope we don’t suck.

Fans have been begging Joanna to host a cooking show since she released her highly-successful cookbook, Magnolia Table. They confirmed that they are actually, in fact, going to be doing a cooking show on Magnolia Network during their November 2019 appearance on The Tonight Show.

We have been patiently waiting the October 4th launch date, but unfortunately because of the coronavirus pandemic, we will have to wait a little longer.

The power couple pushed back the launch date, and that date is currently unknown.

In a statement to the media, Chip and Joanna said, “Right now, it’s important that we all continue to look out for one another by upholding the guidelines set forth by the experts, leaders and front-line heroes working tirelessly to get us all through this difficult time. With this as our top priority, we’ve decided to delay Magnolia Network’s launch until we can safely resume production.

They continued saying that that look forward to when they can get back to work and be able to tell stories that matter to them.

To make up for it, Chip and Joanna are airing four-hours of new programming from their network. It will air on Sunday (April 26) on the DIY Network.

“In the meantime, we are hosting this special preview where we’ll give you a peek into what we’ve been working on and more of what’s to come for this network we’re building!” they said.

Join me and Chip for a 4-hour special as we take a walk down memory lane to where it all began with Fixer Upper AND take…
