For most of 2018 and early 2019, all anyone could talk about was the movie A Star Is Born and its stars, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

But before there was Jackson and Ally (their characters), there was John Norman Howard and Esther Hoffman from the 1976 version, played by music legends Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.

Like the most recent A Star Is Born, the 1976 version won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. “Evergreen” was performed by Kristofferson and Streisand in the film, and written by the latter and Paul Williams.

Shocking both their fan bases, Streisand and Kristofferson reunited on April 2, 43 years after the film’s release, and the actress/singer shared the photo on social media.

It was so wonderful to see my friend Kris who stopped by yesterday. Stay tuned…?,” she captioned the sweet photo.

It’s safe to say that this reunion, and her sly “stay tuned” comment had fans freaking out.

I am tuned,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

This isn’t the first time the co-stars have reunited. In 2011, they presented at the Grammy Awards together, and in 2013 they came together for the 40th Anniversary Chaplin Award Gala, which was honoring Streisand.

But, this is the first time they’ve teased anything!

What they were teasing was a surprise performance in July at Hyde Park! Watch it below.
