The 55th Annual ACM Awards is well underway and along with countless performances from three different locations in Nashville, awards were still handed out – virtually, of course.

One of the most coveted awards of the night, besides Entertainer of the Year, is Male Vocalist of the Year. The category is always stacked with the best country singers and it’s always a toss up on who should win because everyone puts out such great music!

Past winners include Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and the list does on. This year, the nominees are:

  • Dierks Bentley
  • Luke Combs
  • Thomas Rhett
  • Chris Stapleton
  • Keith Urban

The criteria includes, “success at radio, consumption, success in digital media, live concert ticket sales, and vocal performances.”

Luke Combs’ name was read as the winner!

Combs has been unstoppable since he broke out on the scene in 2017. He has nine consecutive number one singles, all of which are certified Gold or above, with some even being certified 4x Platinum! In the past year, he has released an album, What You See Is What You Get, which is certified Platinum and went to number one on the country albums chart. He was set out on a sold-out tour, but that was cut short.

Congratulations, Luke Combs on this well-deserved win! He also won Album of the Year!
