Sunday night (February 12) was all about the Grammys. But now that the Grammys are over, country fans are anticipating the next big awards show…the ACM Awards.
The 2017 ACM Awards are scheduled for April 2, and will air on CBS at 8 PM ET. The ceremony will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be hosted at the T-Mobile Arena. This year marks the first time that the ACMs will take place at that venue.
With the awards fast-approaching, more and more details have started to emerge about the ceremony and surrounding events leading up to it. Last week, it was revealed that Lady Antebellum had been tapped to announce the nominees. The trio will announce the nominees during an appearance on CBS This Morning on Thursday (February 16).
Other than the nominees, the other big detail about the ACMs that was previously unknown was who would be hosting. Last year, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley teamed up as co-hosts for the first time ever. The two ended up making a lasting impression with their opening monologue and other hilarious bits throughout the night.
In years prior, Bryan served as the ACMs’ co-host along with Blake Shelton, who stepped down last year. Past hosts have also included Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, and Brooks & Dunn.
So as the ACMs approached, fans were curious to know if Bryan and Bentley would return or if there would be a new pair of co-hosts this year. Finally, the ACMs slipped in the big news during a short commercial that aired during the Grammys.
The commercial quickly flashed through clips of past performances, before revealing that Bryan and Bentley will both be back this year to co-host the awards! The ACMs also announced the news on Twitter, writing, “Excited to welcome hosts @LukeBryanOnline & @DierksBentley back on 4/2!”

As the new guy, Bentley had some first-time jitters hosting the ACMs last year. He admitted that he was a bit “uneasy” about the hosting gig, but was equally excited about it as well. Now that he’s got that first show under his belt, we’re sure he’ll handle this year’s ceremony like a seasoned pro.
Bryan and Bentley are good friends in real life, which is why they are the perfect pair to host the ACMs. You can catch CBS’ announcement about their big return in the clip below.
We were already excited for the ACMs before this announcement, but now we can hardly wait! How about you? Are you excited that Bryan and Bentley are back as co-hosts this year?
