In April, the Country Music Hall of Fame announced three new inductees to join its accomplished membership. Selected to represent artists from the “modern era” was Alan Jackson, who has more than earned such an honor.
Over the course of his career, Jackson has accumulated 35 number one hits, 18 ACM Awards, 16 CMA Awards, and two Grammy Awards. He has sold over 60 million albums since 1990, making him one of the best-selling artists of his era.
Jackson’s most recent album was 2015’s Angels and Alcohol, which topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and reached the fifth spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Since then, Jackson has kept busy performing, and is currently traveling the country on his Honky Tonk Highway Tour.
In the midst of his busy schedule, Jackson has taken a big step to help further his career through the form of an exciting new partnership. As announced by Billboard on Thursday (August 17), Jackson has signed with WME for representation after being previously represented by CAA.
WME represents a wide range of clients, including actors, comedians, and culinary stars. The company also represents a number of musicians and singers from various genres, including country.
We’re hopeful that this change could signify big things to come in Jackson’s future. Maybe he’s getting ready to work on a new album? That would be exciting!
Until then, we’ll just have to enjoy the quality music that Jackson has already created. Tune in below to listen to the title track off of his latest album, Angels and Alcohol.
We wish Jackson the best of luck in his new partnership with WME!
