Almost 30 years after she was the inspiration for Amy Grant‘s biggest crossover hit song, her young and beautiful daughter tied the knot with the love of her life – and the photos are absolutely gorgeous.
Amy Grant was married to fellow Christian music singer Gary Chapman in the early 80s and together the couple welcomed three beautiful children – one of which was Millie!
Millie, who was the inspiration for Grant’s 1991 hit song “Baby, Baby,” has led a rather quiet life besides both of her parents being famous musicians – and her stepdad, Vince Gill, too!
While she stays outside of the public eye, she garnered a fair amount of media coverage in 2017 after her dad revealed on social media that she was undergoing surgery to donate one of her kidneys to her childhood friend.
Clearly, she holds incredible personal values and is a very selfless, caring, and generous woman.
Now, the young, beautiful, and kind woman is officially a newlywed after welcoming her family and friends to a very special event in the Belle Meade district of Nashville.
On April 27th, 2019 – almost exactly two years since her mom released the 25th Anniversary edition of “Baby, Baby,” Millie Chapman walked down the aisle toward her future husband, Ben Long and said the vows she’d always dreamed of saying.
The big day was filled with special moments, wonderful surprises, and perfect snapshots that will always be there to bring Millie, Ben, and their families back to that one-of-a-kind day.
“It is hard to believe that same 6-week-old girl who inspired the lyrics to ‘Baby Baby’ is now a beautiful married woman,” Amy Grant told People Magazine. “Her life has given us a lot of reasons to dance and celebrate through the years!”
The couple married at Immanuel Baptist Church and then held their reception on the large estate of her paternal grandmother in Nashville.
“We mainly chose my mom’s backyard because it has always been a place I feel comfortable,” her father, Gary Chapman told the magazine. “We wanted to celebrate it somewhere we felt at home.”
Together, the families celebrated this amazing day in incredible fashion, and the photos only show a glimpse of the beauty that was witnessed by everyone who attended.
