A cute video posted by Rumble showed the heartwarming reaction of an adult white female German Shepherd named Shadow laying in the living room with her little farm animal.
“For some reason the goat thinks Shadow is it’s mommy, and Shadow likes the goat,” the pet owner said on Rumble.
Shadow has decided to adopt a baby Pygmy goat who has quickly taken to her as they lay snuggled on the floor together. She smiles and wags her tail as she looks down at the baby goat, to check on it and you can tell she’s excited to have it by her side.
The goat is so tiny compared to the German Shepard, yet feels so protected by her mothering nature. Shadow’s mothering instincts kicked in and she starts to lick and groom her baby, loving every minute of it. The owner of the animals filmed them for 46 seconds as they enjoyed each other’s company.
“Shadow takes care of the adorable goat as if it were one of her puppies! Talk about maternal instinct! Have you ever seen a bond like this? A baby goat mistaking the family dog for her mommy”? Rumble reported the owner saying.
