Yellowstone‘s cast is currently in Montana filming the final six episodes of the hit series.

This comes after a nearly two-year-long hiatus. Season 5 premiered on November 12, 2022, and was pre-planned to have two parts to the season. However, negotiations with star Kevin Costner delayed production, which was followed by the strikes of both the Writer’s Guild of America and the Screen Actor’s Guild.

This long pause in production changed things for the trajectory of the show. For years, co-creator Taylor Sheridan has said that he envisioned it being 7 seasons, but in May 2023, it was announced that the series would end after the second part of Season 5.

Fans have been patiently and eagerly awaited for the cast to return to Montana to begin filming the final six episodes, and it seems that time is now! Cast members have shared photos on social media, including Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, and Kelly Reilly.

Who Is Kelly Reilly?

Reilly has played Beth Dutton, the only daughter of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, for the entirety of the series. Like so many actors, Reilly’s career started on the stage.

She eventually moved on to movies and television in 2000, appearing in Pride & Prejudice, Me and Orson Welles, Sherlock Holmes, Triage, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and A Single Shot. In 2012, she landed a lead role opposite Denzel Washington in the film Flight.

She starred in the second season of True Detective before making her Broadway debut alongside Clive Owen and Eve Best in the play Old Times. She landed the role of Beth Dutton shortly after that, and the rest is history!

The actress ended her post by saying she is grateful for “the group of people that continue to make this wild show make it with all their hearts and guts,” and how proud she is to work alongside them.
