Bob Saget’s “Full House” Daughter Shares His Final Text To Her

On January 9th, actor and comedian Bob Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.

His family released the following statement:

“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today.  He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Saget is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and his daughters from a previous marriage, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer. The comedian was in the middle of his I Don’t Do Negative Tour, which had kicked off just two days before his death on January 7th.

After his January 8th show in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Saget took to social media for what would become the last post he ever wrote

After the news was confirmed, tributes to the actor, most famous for portraying Danny Tanner in the ABC sitcom Full House, poured in from his co-stars, friends, and fans.

Jodie Sweetin, the actress who played his daughter aStephanie on Full House penned a lengthy Instagram tribute which ended with, “I’ll miss you Bob. I’ll make sure and tell an inappropriate joke at your funeral. In your honor. I know you would’ve wanted that. But you were supposed to be here longer…How Rude.”

On Monday afternoon (Jan 10), the entire cast of Full House came together and released the following statement:

“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family. Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly. We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob.” ~ John, Dave, Candace, Jodie, Lori, Andrea, Scott, Jeff, Ashley and Mary-Kate.

Jodie Sweetin spoke with Good Morning America on Monday (Feb 7) to talk about her upcoming project, Just Swipe. There, they asked her about her former TV dad, Bob Saget, and the last words they exchanged.

She explained that he came on her podcast, Never Thought I’d Say This, and she texted him to thank him for being a guest.

“‘I was like, ‘Thanks so much, Bob. Love you,'” she said. “He [wrote], ‘Love you too. Anything for you, Jods. Always.'”

On January 13, Sweetin shared a video of him on her podcast and it showed just how much they loved each other.
