One of the most talented newcomers to the country scene has the incredible ability to turn back time with her beautiful voice and deliver unforgettable covers of some of the biggest classic country songs to ever have been recorded.

Cam, who burst onto the scene in 2015 with the release of her chart-topping single “Burning House”, has been on a journey toward the top ever since that release – but has not stopped looking back at all the musical greats that came before her.

Growing up spending lots of time on on her grandparent’s ranch, she was introduced to classic country music at a very early age and has said that she was greatly influenced by those experiences. Taking pages from the careers and talents of legends like Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, and Bonnie Raitt, Cam says that “the songwriting structure of country music is the standard in my mind…that structure seems to feel the most homey to me.

Having already performed incredible covers of folks like Patsy Cline, Eagles, Martina McBride and more, Cam recently took to a British radio show and blew fans away with her spot-on rendition of Tammy Wynette‘s unforgettable classic, “Stand By Your Man”.

Appearing on BBC Radio 2 with Chris Evans, the young starlet dazzled the audience with a stripped-down acoustic performance of the classic ballad that is sure to have y’all begging for more!

Wynette, who both wrote and recorded “Stand By Your Man”, first released the single in 1968 and quickly saw success on the charts as it skyrocketed to the No. 1 position in multiple countries. It has been reported that it only took Wynette and her co-writer, Billy Sherill, 15 minutes to pen the hit.

Becoming the most successful record of her career, the track was swiftly marked as her signature song and went on to be named as #1 on CMT’s Top 100 Country Music Songs list. In 2010, the Library of Congress selected “Stand By Your Man” as an addition to the National Recording Registry, solidifying it as a recording that is “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.

Cam’s cover of the beloved song has received rave reviews with the BBC Radio 2 stating calling it a “pitch-perfect rendition” and saying that Wynette “would most certainly have approved.”
