June 3 was Global Running Day, and as a big time fitness junkie, Carrie Underwood made sure to celebrate the day.
The “Drinking Alone” singer laced up her running shoes and went on a five-mile run with her good friend, Ivey Childers. Childers owns a bakery in Tennessee, and designs some delicious and artistic cakes.

Underwood doesn’t only turn to Childers whenever she needs some baked goods..she relies on her to be her running buddy!
After Underwood and Childers went on their Global Running Day run, Underwood called her friend her “favorite runner” in a post she made to her Instagram Story.
She posted a selfie from her and Childers’ run, and the picture captured a rare look at a makeup-free Underwood.

While Underwood doesn’t often post pictures of herself without makeup, she has done so in the past.
Back in March 2019, Underwood shared a makeup-free selfie following a workout. She poked fun at the fact that her face was as pink as the shirt she was wearing, then ended her post with a cheery message for her followers.
