Carrie Underwood is now a mama to a one-year-old and a five-year-old!
On January 21, Carrie and her husband, Mike Fisher, celebrated their youngest son’s first birth. Little Jacob was their “miracle” after suffering three previous losses from 2017-2018.
Carrie and Mike are selective with the photos and videos they share of their children. But both were happy to post some snapshots of Jacob in honor of his birthday:
“I thank God for you each and every day,” she wrote. “You are truly our miracle baby!!!“
The photos Carrie posted show Jacob devouring his birthday cake, which was a chocolate cake with green frosting.

Mike also took to Instagram to recognize his youngest son’s birthday. He posted a picture of both Jacob and his big brother, Isaiah.
The two boys were face-to-face, and Isaiah was wearing a pasta strainer on his head. Jacob seemed amused by his brother’s antics, and was sporting a big smile:
“Happy birthday Jacob!” Mike wrote in the photo’s caption. “You’ve brought us so much joy this past year.”

Just a little over a month after Jacob turned one, Isaiah turned five! His fifth birthday was on February 27, prompting a sweet, reflective post from his mama.
Instead of posting a current photo of her eldest son, Carrie opted to share one of his newborn pictures. The precious portrait shows Carrie looking down at her baby boy with a look of absolute adoration in her eyes.
In the caption, Carrie said time has gone by so fast since Isaiah was born:
“He is five today,” Carrie wrote. “Where did these last five years go?“
She went on to talk about how “bittersweet” it is to watch your kids grow up. On one hand, you’re happy to watch them develop their personalities and make new discoveries. But on the other hand, you just want them to stay tiny forever.
Even though Isaiah is growing up, Carrie says he will always be her little guy:
“You are five today but you will always be my baby boy…no matter how old you get,” Carrie wrote. “Thank you for being you.”

Even though Carrie didn’t share many photos or videos of Isaiah when he was younger, she has started posting more about him in recent years. He even appears in her music video for “Southbound,” which you can watch below.
