Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 25. It was also their first wedding anniversary, so their daughter’s birth made the day extra special.
They named her Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Her two middle names are in honor of Bindi’s late father, Steve, who used the term “Wildlife Warrior” to refer to those who fight for the well-being of animals all over the globe.

Bindi and Chandler have full faith their daughter will one day carry on the legacy that Steve started. Today, that legacy lives through Bindi and her younger brother Robert.
At her young age, baby Grace is already taking after her nature-loving mom. In a recent social media post, Chandler spoke about how his “happy girl” Grace is already like Bindi in one adorable way.
“Grace has started giggling all the time and loves spending her afternoons walking through the zoo with us,” Chandler said. “She especially enjoys the flower gardens just like her mum!”
Chandler also shared a new photo of Grace. The picture shows her smiling at the camera while wearing an outfit with woodland animals on it and a pink floral headband with a bow.

Because Steve isn’t here to watch his granddaughter grow up, Bindi will be sure to tell Grace plenty of stories about him. We know he’d love being a grandpa!
