Chick-fil-A is bringing back a long-missed favorite: the Banana Pudding Milkshake, returning for the first time in over a decade.
Chick-fil-A Chef Christy Cook has heard the buzz from fans eager for the shake’s comeback.
She told USA Today, “I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve gone to family reunions or spoken to someone at the store who found out I work at Chick-fil-A, ‘When is that Banana Pudding Milkshake coming back?'”
As Cook puts it, the Banana Pudding Milkshake has been designed to remind customers of warm feelings of home and celebration, much like a family reunion. They wanted to try to truly capture the essence of classic banana pudding.
Curious to know what goes into the milkshake?
“It starts with our Icedream dessert, which you guys know that’s been on our menu since we opened. This delicious vanilla Chick-fil-A Icedream and the sweet cream shake base, which is also very unique to Chick-fil-A. We put (in) the bananas – natural bananas, banana puree – and then the crushed vanilla wafers. And then, oh, all of that gets topped with the whipped cream and cherry,” Cook revealed.
In addition to the milkshake, Chick-fil-A will also introduce the Banana Frosted Coffee. The drink will be a mix of cold-brewed coffee, Icedream, banana, and vanilla wafer crumbles.
This new item, along with the popular milkshake, will be available again starting August 26. They will be offered for a limited time at restaurants across the country until November 16, or while supplies last.
So, if you’re a fan, be sure to grab one before they’re gone again!
