Post Malone Makes His Grand Ole Opry Debut & Performs New Song With Lainey Wilson

Post Malone made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Wednesday (August 14) and had a few famous friends join him onstage, including Lainey Wilson.

Earlier in the night, Post sang Vince Gill’s “One More Last Chance” with Vince himself. Brad Paisley also joined the duo onstage and backed them up on guitar.

Wilson hopped onstage later in the show and joined Post to sing their brand-new duet, “Nosedive.” It was the duo’s first time performing the song for a live audience.

“Nosedive” Is A Track On The Album F-1 Trillion

At the time of his Opry show, Post Malone was preparing to release his first country album, F-1 Trillion, on Friday (August 16). The album contains a total of 18 tracks, with most of them being collaborations.

Post recorded songs with artists such as Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Blake Shelton, and Brad Paisley. He also recorded “Nosedive” with Wilson, and it’s featured as track #9 on the album.

“Nosedive” is a slow-tempo song about finding “beauty in the nosedive” of life. Post starts off singing solo before Lainey eventually joins in on the chorus. She also gets her own solo verse.

The Opry crowd was captivated by their performance and gave them a warm round of applause at its conclusion.

While this was Post and Lainey’s first time singing “Nosedive” in front of an audience, it wasn’t their first live performance as a duo. The pair delivered a surprise performance at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe earlier this year.

They sang “I Had Some Help,” which is the #1 hit duet Post released with Morgan Wallen. Watch Post Malone and Lainey Wilson sing that song below.
