Meet Chris Young’s Dad, Michael Harris
Chris Young’s dad, Michael Harris, is actually his stepdad. But he means so much to the singer, he simply calls him “dad.”
Young once told Taste of Country the story about how his dad proposed to his mom. Michael popped the question on Valentine’s Day:
“My stepdad had all of us come downstairs, and he asked our permission to marry our mom. That was really big, and he kind of trumped anything I could ever do, ” Chris said. “Thanks a lot, Dad. I don’t know if I could ever top that!“
In 2021, Chris shared an emotional video of him surprising his dad with a new truck for Christmas. “My dad has been driving the same truck for well over a decade. I decided he needed a new one this year. I love you dad!” Chris wrote in the video’s caption.
