HunterGirl was given a golden ticket to Hollywood. She then advanced to become a member of the Top 24, then the Top 20.

Following her performance of an original song on Monday night’s (April 18) episode, HunterGirl was saved by the viewers’ votes. She is now a member of the Top 14.

After learning she had been saved, HunterGirl performed a cover of one of Miranda Lambert‘s most emotional songs, “Vice.”

“Vice” was released in 2016 as the lead single off of Lambert’s double album The Weight of These Wings. The song reached the #2 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart and was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

Idol viewers had lots of praise for HunterGirl after hearing her cover of “Vice.” A few comments on the YouTube video of her performance were:

This girl has STAGE PRESENCE. She will make it, regardless if she wins the show or not. LOVE HER.”

Her voice sounds like she’s been on the radio for decades. Flawless.”

She’s the whole package! She sounds like a Star, acts like a Star and looks like a Star!
