Surprise! Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s second baby girl has arrived!
Back in March, Dale Jr.’s wife, Amy, shared the news on Instagram that they were expecting their second child. The couple already shares a daughter, Isla, who turned two on April 30.
Amy announced the news of her second pregnancy by sharing a short video of Isla proclaiming she was “gonna be a seester.” She followed up by posting a video of Dale Jr.’s reaction to the news, which was hilarious.
Isla was wearing a shirt that said she was going to be a big sister. In his shock, Dale Jr. got confused and asked, “How do you know it’s a girl?”

Of course, Isla was going to be a big sister whether Baby Earnhardt was a boy or a girl. So Amy found Dale Jr.’s question to be quite comical.
But as it turns out, Baby #2 is a girl! Since Amy surprised him with the pregnancy news, Dale Jr. decided to surprise her with the gender reveal.
He bought a pair of pink Converse shoes and Amy unwrapped them with Isla’s help.

Based on the timing of the pregnancy announcement, fans knew Amy was due in the fall. Then, when Dale Jr. was late to post a new episode of his podcast, The Dale Jr. Download, fans started to wonder if Baby Earnhardt had arrived.
Turns out their thoughts were right on the money! Baby Earnhardt made her debut on Monday (October 12), just two days after Dale Jr.’s birthday.
Dale Jr. shared the news on his podcast in an episode titled “She’s Here!” saying, “We got a new addition.”
He also revealed what he and Amy named their daughter. The chose the name Nicole Lorraine, since “Nicole” is Amy’s middle name and “Lorraine” was the middle name of Dale Jr.’s late mother, Brenda.
As for what big sister Isla thinks of her baby sister, she’s in love! Dale Jr. said her reaction upon meeting Nicole for the first time was, “Awww, she’s so cute! Can I rock her?”
How sweet is that? Isla is so adorable, as you can see in the below clip from when she made her debut on her dad’s podcast.
Dale Jr. and Amy haven’t shared any pictures of baby Nicole yet, but Dale Jr. did say which parent she resembles most…him! “With Nicole… I look at her and I see so much of myself,” he said. “It’s like looking at a mirror when I look at her…I mean as soon as I saw her I thought, ‘Oh my God, she is a baby me. It’s like looking at my baby self.'”
