The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally come!
After an intense day of waiting and white-knuckle anxiety, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and wife Amy have welcomed their first child into the world – and they couldn’t be happier!
The 43-year-old retired NASCAR star has been waiting a long time to start a family and it all began after he and Amy (36) wed on New Year’s Eve 2016. Not too long after, the pair formally announced that they were expecting their first child in the spring of 2018.

After months of posting updates and exciting news, both Amy and Dale are thrilled to finally have their baby girl in their arms – something that will surely make many NASCAR fans smile.

In the hours leading up to Amy’s delivery, fans were anxiously waiting for the news and even one reached out on Twitter asking if they had become parents yet – something Amy shut down pretty quickly, but that would change over the next few hours.

In just over 12 hours, Dale Jr. and Amy would become a pair of beaming new parents to a beautiful baby girl they’d been dreaming about for so long!
Just after 9 a.m. Eastern, Amy announced the birth of the newest Earnhardt to join their family, saying “it feels like a dream. The best dream ever.”
Beyond announcing the birth of their first daughter, Amy also shared the name they’d picked out for this precious little angel: Isla Rose Earnhardt!
