How Darci Spent Her AGT Prize Money
At just 12 years old, Darci Lynne Farmer became one of the most famous faces in the world when she won Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. The young ventriloquist and singer walked away with a grand prize of $1 million and a set of shows in Las Vegas.
Since then, Darci has toured all over the country, and recently had her own Christmas special on NBC.

Now 14, a little over a year has passed since Darci’s life-changing win on AGT. Of course, fans of the talented young lady have been curious to know how she has spent her prize money. But as it turns out, she really hasn’t spent that much at all!
During a November 2018 interview with The Charolette Observer, Darci confessed that she actually hasn’t purchased a single thing for herself since winning AGT. In fact, her biggest “purchase” was actually a donation to her church, which she gave $30,000.
She also bought a new dishwasher for her mom, since she promised she would do so if she ended up winning AGT. “I bought my mom a dishwasher, ‘cause that’s what I said I would do,” she said.

Her Greatest Wish…
But there was one thing that Darci desperately wanted to get for herself with her AGT prize money…a new puppy. Unfortunately, Darci’s busy schedule kept her from welcoming a new furry friend, and her parents didn’t seem to be in full support of the idea because of that.
“I wanted to get a puppy, but then things started getting super, super busy, and I didn’t have a chance,” she said. “Hopefully we’ll get a puppy — maybe next year. I hope.”

Well it turns out that Darci doesn’t have to wait until next year for her new puppy, because she got one for Christmas!
Darci Makes A New Friend
Darci’s family filmed her priceless reaction to being surprised with her new four-legged friend. She shared that video on social media, and it’s sure to warm even the coldest of hearts.
The video starts with Darci instantly breaking into a fit of sobs as she first lays eyes on her surprise gift. Slowly, the camera moves to show a fluffy puppy, which Darci quickly scoops up.
Cradling the tiny pup in her arms, Darci couldn’t control her emotions as she tried to thank her family. “He’s perfect!” she wailed while petting him.
