The movie A Star Is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga has been making waves since its October 5, 2018 release. Fellow actors, singers, artists, and fans can’t stop raving about the remake of the 1937 film of the same name.

Derek Hough, who you probably know from Dancing with the Stars, World of Dance, and his roles in Nashville and Hairspray Live!, posted a photo of Cooper and Gaga after he saw the movie with the simple caption, “This film.”

This 2018 version of A Star Is Born is actually the fourth remake of the original 1937 movie, which did not involve music at all, the 1954 musical starring Judy Garland, the 1976 rock musical – which starred Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand – and the 2013 Bollywood film.

It seems Hough not only enjoyed the movie, but he fell in love with the soundtrack as well, but that comes as no surprise. The soundtrack actually debuted at number one on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart in the week ending October 11. All the songs are new and were written by Cooper, Gaga, and heavy country music hitters Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, and Natalie Hemby, just to name a few.

Hough, being the multi-talented person that he is, learned one of the songs on guitar almost immediately and decided to show it off to the world on social media. He performed the song “Shallow,” which was written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt – and it is a critical part of the movie.

Sitting on his kitchen island with his longtime girlfriend Hayley Erbert cooking dinner, Hough sweetly serenades her with the sweet sounds of his guitar playing and singing.

“Tell me somethin’, girl,” he sang. “Are you happy in this modern world? Or do you need more? Is there somethin’ else you’re searchin’ for?”

Aside from his incredible singing, there is one thing that shocked us during this sweet serenade…Erbert continues cooking as though this is an everyday occurrence! Hey, it very well could be – but it’s still amazing to us! Seriously, is there anything Derek can’t do?
