Since last year, country music fans have been looking forward to the debut of the new Monarch TV series on FOX. The series will follow a fictional family, The Romans, who are considered to be country music royalty.
Susan Sarandon plays the family’s matriarch, Dottie. Her husband Albie is played by real-life country music star Trace Adkins. Their daughter and heir-apparent, Nicky, is played by Anna Friel.

Monarch was supposed to debut in January 2022, but production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series eventually got a new premiere date of September 11.
With its premiere fast-approaching, the Monarch crew is amping up its promotion. They just released a new trailer, which offers a sneak peek at some of the series’ events.
The trailer can best be described as “dramatic.” There is obvious tension between the main characters, making us wonder what secrets the Roman family is trying to keep from the world…and each other. Things are going to get intense!
Through the trailer, we also learn the names of several country artists who are making guest appearances in the series. Those artists include Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Tanya Tucker, and Little Big Town.
