At a June 2019 show, Carrie Underwood wowed her Indianapolis, Indiana crowd with a fun-filled set. She performed hit songs from her career including “Good Girl,” “Church Bells,” “Jesus, Take The Wheel,” “Before He Cheats,” and many more.
But right before she performed “Before He Cheats,” she sang her empowering anthem “The Champion,” which she recorded with rapper Ludacris in 2018.
While she was preparing for her Cry Pretty Tour 360, Underwood knew she wanted to include that song, but would need someone to perform the rap each night. Instead of bringing a rapper on tour with her, she announced that she would be bringing up a fan each night to help her out.

For Sunday’s show at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, she not only brought up a fan, but that fan is also a superstar herself! WNBA star Erica McCall, who plays for the local Indiana Fever, joined the “Southbound” songstress onstage for an epic, girl power version of “The Champion” that had fans freaking out once they realized who was actually rapping.
