In the world of live performances, some of the most unexpected events can create an unforgettable moment.

This is exactly what happened when country duo Tigirlily Gold took center stage at Empower Field for a pre-game National Anthem rendition that would become the talk of the town.

Who are Tigirlily Gold?

Tigirlily Gold is made up of sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh. They’re from North Dakota and have been singing together since they were kids.

Originally known as Tigirlily, they gained attention through social media, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. After moving to Nashville and signing with Monument Records, they released their self-titled EP in 2021. The duo changed their name to Tigirlily Gold and released their debut album, Blonde, in 2024.

Tigirlily Gold’s National Anthem Performance

On Sunday (September 15), sisters Kendra and Krista prepared to sing as the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers got ready to play. But things didn’t go quite as planned. When they started to sing, no sound came out. The problem? A faulty sound system that chose the worst timing to stop working.

Luckily for them, the fans had their back. Without hesitation, they all started singing together without the music. It was an amazing group effort to watch!

Some singers might have panicked, but Tigirlily Gold showed they are true pros. The sisters kept going, moving their lips along with the crowd until someone gave them a working microphone. And they were able to finish the song perfectly.

These days, mishaps like this rarely go unnoticed. But Tigirlily Gold made the best of it, posting the video online, thanking everyone for singing together.

“When a technical difficulty turns into 76,000 people singing the National Anthem together…Thank you [Denver Broncos] for having us today!!!! Always an honor…Will never forget this one!”
