Country music fans are counting down the days until the 55th CMA Awards. The Awards will air on Wednesday, November 10 at 8 PM EST on ABC.
On Monday (October 18) the CMA announced that Luke Bryan will be hosting this year’s ceremony. This will be Bryan’s first time hosting the CMA Awards, though he has previous experience as the co-host of the ACM Awards for five years.
Vince Gill was the last person to host the CMA Awards solo…18 years ago in 2003. So Bryan has some big shoes to fill!
The “Waves” singer is well-aware of the pressure he’s under:
“The pressure that comes along with that can be overwhelming, but knowing I get to help honor and celebrate so many of my friends, I knew it was something I couldn’t turn down,” he told Deadline.

There was just one piece of the CMA Awards puzzle that was missing…the lineup of performers. Finally, on Thursday morning (October 21), the CMA named some of the artists who will perform during the ceremony.
Fans will get the chance to watch Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Jimmie Allen, Brothers Osborne, and Dan + Shay. The CMA also announced that Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde will be performing together. Mickey Guyton will join Brittany Spencer and Madeline Edwards in another collaborative performance.

If you see one of your favorite artists missing from the lineup, don’t worry. This isn’t the complete list of performers, so more will be named at a later date.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing out of this first round of performers? We’re quite excited for Church’s performance, since he’s the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year. Check out the video below to watch his performance during last year’s ceremony.
Stay tuned to hear who else will be performing at the CMA Awards this year!
