Country music fans and legends alike flocked to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on April 1, 2019 to celebrate Loretta Lynn‘s 87th birthday. While her actual birthday isn’t until the 14th, some of the biggest names in country music history came together to celebrate her in what was the first birthday party she ever had.

The star-studded event included performances from Alan Jackson, Brandy Clark, Darius Rucker, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, and the Pistol Annies, just to name a few.
To make it an official birthday celebration, everyone sang her “Happy Birthday” when a large three-tiered cake was rolled out, and just like he promised, Keith Urban jumped out of it.
When the concert celebration was first announced, Lynn had said her only wish is to have Keith Urban jump out of a cake for her, and he did!
To make things even better, The Queen of Country was serenaded by The King of Country. Strait performed earlier in the show with Martina McBride. They performed the Conway and Loretta classic “Lead Me On.”
For his solo performance, he sang “Amarillo By Morning,” which he released in 1983 for his album Strait From The Heart. Before he started singing, he flashed Lynn a smile and looked as though he told her, “I love you.”
He barely had to sing the first lyric for all the women in the audience to swoon and cheer for him! After delivering some incredible vocals, Strait took a bow, waved to the crowd, then walked over to Lynn to shake her hand.
Loretta is one lucky lady to have him sing this to her!
