Did You Know That HARDY Wrote One Of Ella Langley’s Hit Singles?

HARDY recently thrilled fans by sharing his version of an Ella Langley hit…which he co-wrote!

In March, Langley released “Be Her” as the second single from her sophomore studio album, Dandelion. The track followed her smash hit, “Choosin’ Texas,” which has spent multiple weeks at #1 on the Hot Country Songs and all-genre Hot 100 charts.

“Be Her” is right on its heels, ranking at #2 on the former chart and #8 on the latter for the week of April 18th.

The official music video for “Be Her” was actually released before the song was sent to radio as an single. That video, which dropped on February 13, has over 8 million views at the time of this writing.

Hear HARDY Sing His Version Of “Be Her”

On Saturday, April 18, HARDY posted a video on social media of himself singing “Be Her” during a recent show in Oklahoma. The over-the-video text read, “A lot of y’all didn’t know I wrote this one.”

The video shows HARDY strumming his acoustic guitar while belting the lyrics in his gravelly voice. His performance earned loud cheers from his in-person audience and received many compliments from his online followers.

Some of those compliments were:

I don’t think most people understand just how talented you are!

My favy Ella song makes so much sense now since you wrote it.”

Best song writer [sic] of our generation.

I should know by now any song I like on the first listen was a Hardy song.”

HARDY’s video also caught Langley’s eye. She left a simple, one-word comment, writing, “Legend.”
