According to Luke Bryan, his life is “pretty much over” after being mistaken for fellow country star Blake Shelton.

Bryan and Shelton are pretty similar in terms of their career path. Aside from their successful careers in country music, both men are also judges in hit singing competitions. Shelton is in his 20th season as a coach on NBC’s The Voice, and Bryan is a judge on the reboot of American Idol. Still, Shelton and Bryan are hardly doppelgängers.
In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the country star opened up to being mistaken for Shelton by the media. Hilariously, his first reaction was to wear Shelton’s former Sexiest Man Alive title as his own.
“That’s former Sexiest Man Alive right there on the couch,” Bryan remarked about himself.

Bryan stated that he put in a lot of work to separate himself from Shelton. Most notably, Bryan admitted that he works a lot more on his hair. The country singer joked:
“Blake just chooses to go grey. He just chooses to look like a silver fox. You know, I gotta lot of Just for Men and hair products…And I work hard on this. I still can’t separate from Blake. It’s just a shame.”
