On Thursday (May 14), Keith Urban entertained 200 first responders and frontline workers with a drive-in concert at the Stardust Drive-In Theatre in Tennessee. A press release states all of the attendees were “doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians and staff from Vanderbilt Health.”
In order to maintain social distancing guidelines, concertgoers remained in or near their vehicles while Urban delivered an hour-long concert for them. Those who couldn’t hear were also able to listen to the concert on their car radios.
“I did this to say thanks to the healthcare workers who are putting their lives on the line for us every day,” Urban said on stage during the show. “And performing in this environment, with everyone in their cars at a safe distance from one another, seems like an amazing opportunity for everybody to just let go and have fun….and I’m a musician, I HAVE TO PLAY.”

Urban’s wife, actress Nicole Kidman, was in attendance at the concert, and people were quick to notice she was sporting some questionable-looking footwear.
Kidman was photographed at the event wearing a cast on one of her feet, prompting questions from concerned fans. The Stardust Theatre included a photo of Kidman wearing her cast in its slideshow of images from Urban’s concert.

Even though she was wearing a cast, Kidman appeared to have a fun time at her husband’s show. She posted about the event on her own Instagram, and shared a photo of herself looking at the stage.
However, the picture Kidman shared didn’t show her foot or her cast. Instead, the focus was all on Urban and the incredible show he put on for the deserving healthcare workers.
“@KeithUrban just had to play!! Isolating with live music at last night’s first #UrbanUnderground drive-in gig for the incredible #frontline workers at @VanderbiltHealth,” Kidman wrote.

It was clear Kidman didn’t want to draw attention to her injury, but fans were already worried about her after seeing the pictures the Stardust Theatre posted.
So during an interview with ET a few days later, Urban explained what happened and why his wife is now wearing a cast. “She broke her ankle, but she is a trooper,” Urban said when asked about Kidman’s injury.
“There she was last night among all of the folks, hobbling around on her boot with her mask on,” he added.
Despite her injury, it seems Kidman managed to have a good time at Urban’s show…and so did everyone else in attendance! See more footage from the concert below.
