It looks like Kid Rock is shaping up to release a new record soon. The “All Summer Long” singer has reportedly been working on a new album in Nashville. All signs seem to point toward a new release from Rock in the near future, since he’s recently been singing some new songs.
During Charlie Daniels‘ Volunteer Jam in November, Rock surprised us all when he sang a new country song titled “Tennessee Mountaintop.” Rock later performed the song during his appearance on Dan Rather’s The Big Interview in February, and fans couldn’t get enough.
So imagine how thrilled Rock’s fans were when he debuted yet another new song in early April. Rock debuted the song during a concert on his eighth annual Chillin’ the Most Cruise, which left from Tampa, Florida and went all the way to the Bahamas.
One fan shared a clip of Rock performing his new song, and now we have it to share with you. Before he started singing, Rock introduced the song by saying, “This is something we’ve been working on.” After that, he revealed that the name of the song is “American Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
But don’t let the title fool you. The song is actually more subdued than you would think, and has more of a groovy, soulful vibe. Still, Rock had plenty of moments to showcase the power of his voice throughout the song.
It sounds like the fans were really lovin’ Rock’s new tune, and we are too! Go ahead and tune in to the video below to give it a listen.
What do you think of “American Rock ‘n’ Roll?” Now that we’ve heard it, we can’t wait for him to release more new music!
