Lainey Wilson Gives Memorable ACM Performance
Taking the stage of the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, Lainey Wilson was one of many performers who dazzled at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, May 8.
Introduced by Blake Shelton, he said of Lainey, “Here’s the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, Lainey-freakin’-Wilson.”
Lainey won Entertainer of the Year in both 2023 and 2024.
Later that evening, she went on to win the Entertainer of the Year award for her third consecutive year.
Singing the title track to her album Whirlwind, Lainey gave a passionate performance of the upbeat ballad.
Twirling to the beat, the long strands of black leather fringe at her arms swung by her side. A fiery red sunset glowed on the screen behind her, with smoke rising up as if she were caught in the titular “Whirlwind” herself.
This followed her performance last year at the 59th ACM Awards, where she sang Little Texasโ โGod Blessed Texasโ and her own โHang Tight Honey.โ
