Luke Combs Performs His New Single “Back In The Saddle” Live At The 2025 CMA Awards
On Wednesday night, November 19, the CMA Awards took place live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with country superstar Lainey Wilson as the show’s host.
The event was packed with well-deserved moments as fans watched their favorite artists take home awards for their music this year.
Viewers also saw several special guests throughout the night and enjoyed a long list of live performances from some of country music’s biggest stars.
One of those highly anticipated performances came from Luke Combs. He ended up taking the stage to sing his newly released single “Back in the Saddle.”

Fans first heard the full song when it came out in July. Shortly after its release, Combs also dropped the music video for the track. The video featured a special guest appearance from Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Luke Combs Wows The CMA Crowd With His Powerful Performance
When it was finally time for Combs to take the stage, the moment was just as flawless as fans expected.
Combs actually opened the evening, kicking off the 2025 CMA Awards with “Back in the Saddle.”
Wearing his signature black Columbia button-up, he walked the stage while his band played inside a stable-themed setup.
Not only did Luke Combs absolutely light up the CMA stage, but he was also in the running for several awards throughout the night.
Combs earned nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year, and Single of the Year for his song “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma.” He was also up for the night’s biggest honor, Entertainer of the Year.
Combs has won Entertainer of the Year in the past, once in 2021 and 2022. He was also nominated in 2020, 2023, and 2024.
