Luke Combs Commemorates Veterans Day With New Song “Ever Mine”

From energetic party anthems to heartfelt ballads, Luke Combs continues to show his versatility as a songwriter. On Veterans Day, a day when America honors and remembers our military members, he shared a new, unreleased song that eloquently depicts the sacrifices made by those who serve. He says:

“We wrote this from the perspective of a soldier writing a letter to his wife during war without knowing if he’ll ever see her again.”

The emotional tune begins:

“My dearest darlin’, I miss you more than words can tell. I hope the garden’s growing tall, you’re in good spirits and good health. We’ve traveled far now, with a long way to go still. I know not yet when I’ll return or if I ever will…”

The song contains strong military imagery and expresses a longing that many service members experience. Written as a letter to a loved one back home, the chorus concludes:

“Til we meet again my love. Sincerely signed, I’m ever yours, you’re ever mine.”

Will “Ever Mine” be included on Luke Combs’ next album?

Luke Combs is taking a unique approach to completing his next album. Earlier this year, he shared his idea to “crowd source” the tracks for his next record. To accomplish this, he created a separate Instagram account where he posted a plethora of unreleased song demos.

Fans had the opportunity to listen to the demos and share their feedback in the comments. The ones that resonated with his audience most will theoretically be included on the record.

Luke Combs has not yet shared details or a release date for his forthcoming album. Stay tuned for updates!
