The Country Star Spoke From The Heart At Her Tour Finale At The Ryman

On November 7 and November 8, Ella Langley concluded her Still Hungover Tour with a pair of star-studded shows at the Ryman Auditorium.

Bringing out guests ranging from Gretchen Wilson to Morgan Wallen, fans were in for a unique treat as they saw Ella at her best, performing with some of the best in country music.

However, the path to this tour finale was not always easy, with Ella having to cancel several shows in August.

Citing an illness she had been battling, as well as feeling “more run down than ever,” Ella told fans in August that she had “made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest” to focus on her health, adding it was for the betterment of her “mind, body, and heart.”

In that difficult announcement, she quoted Matthew 11:28, which reads, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

During her November 7 show at the Ryman, Ella was able to share that her time away made all the difference.

Ella Langley Read The Bible Consistently For Two Weeks

As she introduced her new song “Lovin’ Life Again,” which she co-wrote with ERNEST and Devin Dawson for her yet to be released second album, Ella Langley spoke from the heart.

Part Christian testimony, part glimpse into the life of a rising country star, Ella shared some of her personal and spiritual gains with attendees of her tour finale.

“I haven’t really spoken a lot about it,” Ella started. “Since I graduated high school, I’ve put this thing No. 1 in my life, above everything else. Above myself, really.”

While her debut album Hungover was released in 2024, Ella, who is 26, has been dedicated to her craft as a musician for the past seven years. Her newfound success over the past year has led to her performing with Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and, of course, Riley Green, in addition to doing her own shows.

Continuing, she said, “I just got to a point this year — my band got to a point this year — where we were looking at the mirror and didn’t really recognize ourselves, the way that we used to. We were tired, we needed a break.”

Speaking on her decision to take a break, she admitted, “I can’t explain how much that changed my life.”

To the sound of applause, Ella said of her time away, “I got to read my Bible for two straight weeks.”

Ella has often spoken of her reliance on God amid personal struggles, and she’s showing here that she can lean on him amid success as well.

Part of that success has meant that she’s been able to purchase her first home, which is a property near her parents’ house in Alabama.

“I bought my first house and I got to sit in that for the first time, and I got to sit there and see what is happening in my life and the thing that I’m working so hard for how it’s changed my life and my famil’s life,” she said. “When I came back from that break, I felt so rejuvenated. I felt like I had found myself in a way that I had never found myself, but also I was more me than I’ve ever been in a lot of years, if that makes any sense.”

On September 4, Ella shared on Instagram a series of videos and photos from her time away from tour. There, we could see her riding horses, eating well, and reading her Bible.

One photo shared by Ella was of her Bible, turned to Romans 5, with Romans 5:3-4 highlighted, which reads, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

Continuing her remarks for the crowd at the Ryman, she said, “It took me going back home to find my roots, you know.”

From there, she then brought out ERNEST to sing a duet of their new song, “Lovin’ Life Again.”
