Man Builds Wife’s Chickens A ‘Wild West Coop Town’

Animal lovers have many different ways of showing love for their furry (or feathered) friends. One Missouri woman has such a great affection for her chickens that her husband pulled out all the stops to make her a coop that has become the envy of chicken lovers around the globe.

Mitzi Ballard’s husband, Tracy, built her a chicken coop right out of the wild wild west, complete with a saloon, blacksmith shop, livery stable, and more. Tracy thought of absolutely every detail while building the small chicken town.

The saloon, owned and operated by “Rooster Cogburn,” features curtains in the windows, “swinging” doors and hitching posts out front.

A red barn livery stable and Rooster’s Ridge watering station also grace the property.

Perhaps our favorite part of town is the complex that houses the hotel, cafe, and the mercantile. Each store front is brightly painted and features adorable tie-back curtains. We can’t help but want to take a trip to visit this quaint little chicken town!

And just like every good wild west town should, this chicken town has its very own jail, just in case one of the roosters decides to cause trouble.

While the imaginative creators of this masterpiece haven’t shared plans so we can build our own, there are plenty of chicken coop plans available online that would rival this adorable little town. Check out one such creation in the video below.
