During her first season on The Voice, Miley Cyrus managed to coach two of her team members into the Top 8. While Miley isn’t a coach on the current season of the show, she is slated to return for Season 13.
Until it’s time for her to take her seat in her big red chair again, Miley has been taking full advantage of her time off. One person who is glad to see Miley so happy in her life is her dad, country artist Billy Ray Cyrus.
As a matter of fact, Billy Ray’s happiness for his daughter led to the start of a rumor that Miley had recently gotten married to actor Liam Hemsworth. The rumor started on March 9, after Billy Ray shared a photo of Miley wearing what appeared to be a white dress, writing in the caption “I’m so happy…you are happy.”

But once the rumors started swirling that Miley had secretly tied the knot, Billy Ray was quick to shut them down. He shared the same photo again, expressing his surprise at how quickly people had jumped to conclusions. “Whoa! Don’t jump the gun!” he wrote.

Although Billy Ray dismissed the wedding rumors, there was one thing pertaining to Miley that he was able to confirm. On Saturday (March 18), Billy Ray revealed that Miley had just gotten a new tattoo.
Miley is a big fan of tattoos, and almost has too many to count. They vary in size, shape, and style, and can be found on her hands, rib cage, feet, and arms. She has quite a few small tattoos on her hands and fingers, as you can see in this photo she shared to her Instagram. Some of the tattoos you can see in the photo include the word “karma” and an alien head.

Now, Miley has added a new tattoo to her collection. This tattoo is perhaps one of her most simplistic, but it holds a deep meaning. The tattoo is actually a tribute to her dad, and Billy Ray loved it!
Billy Ray shared a photo of the Miley’s new ink, which is the word “Dad” written in a simple, thin script on the side of her foot. Although there was nothing flashy about it, Billy Ray said it may be the best tattoo that he has ever seen.
