Miranda Lambert had two special dads to honor on Father’s Day this year.
First, Miranda recognized her dad, Rick. She posted two photos of him in a slideshow, with one picture being a family snapshot with him, Miranda, and her mom.
“Love you Rick Lambert for a million reasons, one being teaching us how to fish,” Miranda said.
She also took the time to recognize her husband, Brendan McLoughlin. Brendan has a one-year-old son from a previous relationship, who Miranda has spoken fondly of in the past.
“My stepson is amazing,” Miranda said while speaking to Extra in 2019. “I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing…so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”
When Father’s Day came this year, Miranda also recognized Brendan for being a father to those “million dogs” and their many other pets. In addition to eight dogs, Miranda and Brendan also have horses, cats, bunnies, and chickens, so he’s a “fur dad” to a lot of critters!
“Brendan, thank you for being a great dad to all of the kids in our lives!” Miranda wrote in her Father’s Day post to Brendan and her dad. The last two pictures in her slideshow show Brendan with some of their dogs.

Miranda ended her Father’s Day post with well-wishes for all of the fathers out there, no matter what type of dad they may be.
“Wishing all fur dads, stepdads, and father -in-laws the best day!” she wrote before ending her post with a blue heart emoji.
We hope both Rick and Brendan had a happy Father’s Day this year!
